This trip was one of the best vacations of my entire life. Tour Manager Lori , and our motorcoach driver Keith, made the trip magical with their personal insights into Louisiana and recommendations for places to eat, and experiences to pursue during free time. Lori was a true professional, easily rolling with changes to itineraries and changes through no fault of Gate1. Lori's ability to think on her feet salvaged a potentially disastrous scheduling mess at the State Capital by the capital tour guides. Throughout the entire trip, Lori and Keith both made us feel like we were their personal guests. They both genuinely cared about each of us in the group. Keith consistently went above and beyond to make sure he could drop us off and pick us up at the most convenient locations, especially in New Orleans during the French Quarter Festival, which shut down several streets. The good times definitely rolled thanks to Lori and Keith!

I've just completed my 41st trip with G1 and my first domestic tour - A Musical Journey though the South - I have completed the survey with glowing marks but wanted to express my thanks for an incredible trip - so much fun and got to go to cities I have never visited and it was a musical and Southern education! Highlights - the Grand Ole Opry, making a CD at RCA Studio B in Nashville, seeing where MLK Jr was assassinated in Memphis, Graceland of course, home of the King of Rock and Roll, the amazing BB King Museum in Indianola and jamming with a blues singer, and of course New Orleans, looking real good after all that has happened to it. Our tour manager Tim was fantastic, and taking a tour during this pandemic you know that if it goes without issues that the constant attention to detail by the tm is one of the reasons - it was flawless in every way! With driver Jimmie they were a superb team - it was super fun and we laughed a lot and sang and danced and just felt great joy - cannot beat that! The hotels were lovely and the changed hotel that we stayed in - the Hampton Inn in Ridgeland/Jackson, Ms is a keeper - probably my favorite on the whole trip - lovely and in a great location with good food options for dinner a short walk away and super helpful staff. Have another USA tour coming up in July and so happy that my first domestic one went so well - not that I had any doubt that it would not! This was a wonderfully paced, well put together trip that covered so much and some great experiences. Thank you for that as experiences are what life is all about!! On to the next one!

I just finished the 7 Day Affordable Zion, Bryce Canyon, Arches & Grand Canyon National Parks (Sunday Departure) tour. This tour totally exceeded my expectations! In addition to the parks listed in the title, we saw two other National Parks (Capitol Reef and Canyonlands), two Utah State Parks (Dead Horse Point and Goosenecks) and a Navajo National Park (Monument Valley). Kerry was a terrific tour manager, he was very knowledgeable about every park and more than willing to answer our frequent questions with understandable explanations. He also helped pass the long bus drives with his silly jokes and puns. Unfortunately two members of our group had a family emergency and had to head home early; they said Kerry went above and beyond helping them with their travel arrangements. I am very glad Mona was behind the wheel, it was clear from the very beginning of the trip that she was an expert driver, and as a bonus she had a delightful, friendly personality. My favorite park was Bryce Canyon, closely followed by Arches and Capitol Reef. However, the true highlight of the tour was our guest lecturer Peter , who was one of the WWII Navajo Code Talkers. Only four of these men are still alive, and to hear his story and be in his presence was an honor and a privilege. And there was one additional bonus on the drive back to Las Vegas to catch our flight: a comfort stop at Seligman, Utah, which is on the fabled Route 66! What a glorious seven days; thank you Gate1!

I just wanted to express my sincere thanks and compliments for a job well done! Our tour director Marianne was wonderful -- she is knowledgeable, personable, warm, compassionate and enthusiastic.....everything one would want in a tour director. And Lupe, our bus driver, was terrific too. In addition to being an excellent driver, he was so friendly and polite. They made a great team! The tour of the Utah National Parks and Grand Canyon is spectacular! Once in a lifetime, bucket list material. And Marianne and Lupe made it even more special. Thank you for an extraordinary trip! I can't wait for my next Gate 1 Travel adventure!

On this trip through the colonial cities of Mexico's highlands, we truly felt lucky to be traveling with our guide Liliana. Liliana managed our huge group of travelers from so many backgrounds with relaxed, graceful humor and finesse. Her attention to individuals' and the group's details were effective, efficient, and enabling. What a joy to travel with a woman who possesses such a wide range of customer service skills.

My boyfriend, Larry, and I traveled on our first guided bus tour with Gate 1 to the Copper Canyon, Mexico, Feb 9-18, 2022. Our guide, Manuel , made the trip very memorable and special. He is knowledgeable about the local history and customs, he provided excellent suggestions for meal choices, he treated every traveler with respect, our time each day was wisely used, and Manuel displayed his wonderful sense of humor daily. I would not hesitate to travel with Manuel again on other trips he directs. Our bus driver (can't remember his name) was an excellent driver and I highly recommend him as well. Gate 1 Travel is a wonderful tour company and I will be traveling with Gate 1 in the future as often as possible. Thank you also for the patience and capability of your telephone representatives. They have been extremely helpful when we had questions.

Carlos' way of leading the group was exceptionally good because: a) his ability to respectfully lead the group, cordially demanding order, empathetic, knowledgeable, optimistic, ready to help; b) he enforced the systematic daily change of sites; c) his total fulfillment of the daily program; d) he is the best tour guide I have met during my 16-year experience in traveling with Gate1. Carlos' driver matched Carlos' excellence, not only in his driving expertise and human nature, but in keeping a 100% helpful attitude towards each and every one of the tourists. His respect, enthusiasm, and efficiency were all the time present in the whole trip.

This was our first experience with GATE1 TRAVEL and i just wanted to express my gratitude for a wonderful vacation we had during 8 day colonial Mexico trip. I want to recognize our trip manager/guide Liliana for her exceptional organization and problem solving skills as well as her friendliness. Every day she went above and beyond to please everyone on the trip. She is a true value to GATE 1. We will miss her. Our trip driver Aurelio was our guardian for sanitation and cleanliness during long hours on a bus. Thank you Gate 1 for a great time and see you soon. We already booked two more trips with you for upcoming year.

Our 11 day Pacific NW tour was great! Yes, there were Covid related challenges, but our tour mgr. did a great job navigating them. Favorite restaurants were closed or only doing carry out service. Some information spots were closed, but she secured Park Rangers to speak with our group, or show videos on the bus. Hotels and many other places are short staffed, so patience is a virtue. We are so glad we were on the tour, even with the challenges. And as always, we met so many wonderful people.

So nice to be "on the road again" after the Covid shut down. Had a great time on our recent early September tour of the Canadian Maritime Provinces. Excellent work by our tour guide Julia and Bus Driver Steve made the tour very memorable. Julia assisted with the additional Covid testing requirements and made the processes as painless as possible. So many places we visited were thrilled to have American bus tours operating again. The people were all so welcoming and gracious. The scenery, food, drinks and Hotel accommodations were beyond expectations. For anyone thinking of traveling again, we highly recommend this tour. We have another Gate 1 Tour scheduled next month and can't wait.

In September, my wife Cathy and I traveled to Yellowstone and Mt Rushmore with Gate 1. We had a delightful time and saw and experienced more than we expected. The accommodations were outstanding, and the tour guide was very knowledgeable and helpful. This was our second trip with Gate 1 and look forward to travel next year with Gate 1.

My wife and I recently completed the Gate-1, National Parks 8-Day tour which included Mt Rushmore national park, Crazy Horse memorial, Yellowstone and Grand Tetons national parks. The trip was absolutely amazing. We've already booked more Gate-1 tours. Yes, we were apprehensive just as everyone in traveling during these trying times. However, Gate-1 did an amazing job from start to finish. Thanks Gate-1. All of the featured hotels were spectacularly clean and near all of our scheduled stops. The coach driver was very meticulous in keeping surfaces clean, ready with water and sanitation wipes at every rest point along our travels. The itinerary was expertly arranged to keep the group actively engaged and to add enjoyment to long stretches of coach travel. Our Tour Director was superb. Lesley has such a vast knowledge of the history, the trials and tribulations of the early settlers, and she knew how to add the right dialog to a story to grasp and hold the interest of the group.

This trip was so breathtaking that I don't know where to begin. It was a wonderful experience and a lot of surprises in seeing SW & E of Mexico. I cannot stop talking about it. I didn't expect the this part of Mexico to be so LOVELY. We especially enjoy the train ride, the Copper Canyon, the cow pastures, not to mention the food, entertainment and the people, we love this trip. Our tour Manager Raul makes us feel safe & comfortable: not to mention his professionalism. He is one of the hardest working tour manager I ever came across in my 35 years of travelling. His working ethics are endless.

Our trip to Mexico City and Colonial Mexico tour was very good! Ivan, our tour director was amazing and one of the best we've had on our guided tour travels. He was knowledgeable, accommodating, organized and communicated very well. Leading a group of 40 individuals is no small feat but he pulled it off well! He went out of his way to make everybody feel comfortable and respected as individuals. The tour itself was well organized and we had the opportunity to visit many places and experience good dining. I liked that there was plenty of 'time on our own' and the option to eat on our own while providing a good amount of preplanned and prepaid food. The restaurants we ate as a group provided decent food with options to choose. The hotels we stayed at were pretty well located in the key parts of the city. We could walk in a safe environment to visit on our own and find alternate dining options. The pace of the tour was good and we had the opportunity to see a lot. The optional excursion, which we took part in, was very good and definitely added some good flavor to the trip which we otherwise wouldn't have experienced. This was a our first trip with Gate 1 and it likely won't be our last.

We had a fabulous time. Our tour director Bacho was knowledgeable, funny, organized and very helpful. Our whole tour worked liked clockwork, the weather was perfect, and there was so much to see. Would recommend the tour to all my friends!

We had a wonderful time on the tour of The Copper Canyon. It was everything that we had hoped that it would be. The accommodations were top rate, the meals were good and we were pleased that almost all of the meals for the entire nine days were included, as well as all the tours, train ride and arial tram ride over the canyon. Our tour guide, Raul, was absolutely the best, so knowledgeable and personable. He went out of his way to make sure that we had a safe and enjoyable trip. The visit to a Taramasalata home was a highlight of the trip.

I thoroughly enjoyed my trip...I found a love for Mexico, the land and the customs of the people...I met people who became friends in one week...our guide Ivan was the most caring, helpful , well informed person imaginable...he went so far beyond his role to help us in any way, share his knowledge and love of his country and his huge , giving person...it was one of my favorite trips

My trip to Copper Canyon was wonderful. The bus ride was so scenic and Copper Canyon and San Carlos were just magical. I never imagined that Mexico was so beautiful. Our guide, Manuel, made the trip so special. He kept us informed about everything and taught us so much about the floral and fauna of Mexico. The train ride and the cable car ride into the canyon was the icing on the cake for this trip. The memories from this trip will be with me for a long time. Thank you Gate 1 for this special experience.

Great coach tour, very organized with plenty of attractions. Tom was the best tour guide we have experienced. Your Company will find it hard to replace him! Betty is an excellent driver, often in difficult little streets to navigate as well. Always with a friendly manner, she is good fun. Hotels all good, great locations & amenities.

Our trip to Mexico and Copper Canyon was wonderful. Edel was a fabulous guide who is incredibly knowledgeable about everything we saw and did. He is a great tour manager who took care of all our needs seamlessly and way exceeded my expectations. I always felt secure with him in charge. This was the 4th Gate 1 trip for my husband and I, and we plan to take many more in the future.

There are two things that make for a great trip beyond the itinerary: the weather and the tour manager. We were blessed with great weather but the greatest contribution was our manager, Edel. We have taken guided small-group trips with various companies over the years, with this trip being our second with Gate 1. All have been grand experiences, but this one stands out. Edel is the most personable, knowledgeable, caring person we have encountered. At every turn of the road, we would be introduced to local people, who were friends of Edel. This lead to experiences with indigenous people and facets of the varied Mexican cultures we may well have not otherwise experienced. Edel was totally organized throughout the tour, so his clients had no concerns but to soak in all the wonderful sensory inputs. We all left with gratitude, new understandings, and not a small sense of loss in leaving our new friend behind. We cannot say enough positive comments about Edel and Gate 1.

Our trip of the National Parks was phenomenal!! The sites were incredible and we wouldn’t have been able to see it all if we did not have an incredible driver. Taking a coach was the best decision as it allowed us to rest, view the landscape and interact. Our tour guide did a wonderful job of making sure we were informed.

Fabulous! Our first time with Gate 1 and everything was well organized and thought out. The accommodations, food, and travel were excellent. Best of all, we had phenomenal tour guides. We are now huge Gate 1 fans and intend to try other trips in the near future. Thank you! Thank you!

My trip to Mount Rushmore, Yellowstone National Park and Grand Tetons was great! Gigi, our tour manager was wonderful! She was very organized and made sure everything ran smoothly and on time. She provided excellent commentary and reference materials during the long bus rides. She cared about the comfort and well-being of the entire group. Being a former teacher, Gigi clearly states her expectations and does not sugar coat her words. She has a great sense of humor too! She played very appropriate music during our bus drives, which made the trips even more relaxing and enjoyable. Towards the end of the trip, on our way to Salt Lake City, she made a surprise stop for lunch at Bear Lake, Utah and recommended the Raspberry milkshake, which was absolutely awesome! I am looking forward to taking my younger daughter on this trip in the future and hope to have Gigi again as our tour manager! Thank you Gigi!! You’re awesome!!

Trip was very good. All accommodations were comfortable and offered good amenities. Tour bus was luxurious. Driver Patrick was flawless. Tour guide Andrea was awesome. She had covered and explained in great details about points to see, joking at many occasions. Waterton, Banff and Jasper were all worth visiting. Wish had more time to see city of Calgary. Weather was generally cooperative except on two occasions it rained. Will recommend to anyone without hesitation.

Our trip was really great! The accommodations were lovely, and the train ride was a wonderful way to see Alaska. Our tour guide did a terrific job, and we really enjoyed ourselves! We took lots of photos, were well fed, and met lots of nice people. I think my husband’s favorite piece of the trip was that train ride to Denali!! The cruise was also a great way to travel. Our staterooms were very very nice, especially the balcony for viewing glaciers. All of our excursions were very well done, and each of the towns in Alaska had plenty to offer ... We feel we got great value for the money spent on all aspects of our trip. And Gate 1 really delivered on a most enjoyable adventure! Thank you for all your assistance to us. We look forward to our next trip with your help!

GREAT, AWESOME and all the other wonderful descriptive words. The best tour guide ever, he was so very knowledgeable about the area. Never dreamed I was going to see what I got to see. The driver was also wonderful, he really could drive that route with ease, they need to be a permanent team. Cannot wait to take another trip and pray they are my guide and driver and I will have no worries.

Outstanding! Great parks, well planned itinerary, great hotels! The 14 day Ultimate National Parks Tour is a great way to experience our National Parks and see beautiful area of the USA! Our Tour Manager Leslie was knowledgeable, professional, organized and show us much more than we could have ever expected. Our driver Trevor was the best! This was our first experience with Gate 1 and were very pleased. We highly recommend Gate 1 and will definitely travel again with Gate 1!

The trip was very nice and covered a lot of places. Our guide Sandra and driver Betty were terrific. Did above and beyond. Little surprise tastings every day on the bus. The transfers went smoothly and the hotel locations were really handy to everything. I was traveling alone and felt included. This was my first experience with Gate 1. My friend and I have booked a trip next year with you folks to Southeast Asia. I hope that trip is as good as this one was!

Our trip was fantastic!!! Andrea is the best!!! We have been in several Gate 1 tours... and Andrea is the BEST! She made the Canadian Rockies come alive!!!

Our trip was great! We had the best tour director Timothy who was very knowledgeable, organized and passionate. We loved all the information that he shared with us along the trip, we really appreciated the extra material such us maps, games, videos, and trivia that made the trip more enjoyable. He also gave us options during our leisure time that were very helpful. Our driver Eric was also very kind and helpful all the time. The hotels were nice a very good located. And the welcome & farewell dinner perfect!

We had a wonderful time. Our highlight was going to see bears in their natural habitat.

This trip was great, Gary was so great, humorous and knowledgeable. We didn’t know what to expect but we’re still in awe of the experience. From our arrival to departure not a flaw or problem. Schedule was great as well as pace. Lake Louise was beautiful as expected, but other lakes were another nice surprise. Gary took us to some nice side scenery. All travelers (23) was a good number and group.

The trip was great. We had so much fun. Tour guide and driver were wonderful. They made half the trip so great!! Looking forward to our next adventure in Morocco. Thanks for all your help Gate 1.

It was pretty darn perfect. Great guide, bus driver and itinerary. We had a sunny day in Denali for viewing the mountain and wildlife. My third trip to Alaska...have visited friends in Juneau and Sitka...and I finally feel I have seen the real Alaska. Eagles, humpback and Orca whales, sea otters, puffins, caribou, mountain goats, sea lions, bears, Dall sheep and moose with beautiful mountains everywhere I looked. Couldn’t ask for anything more.
