"It was the perfect choice for my daughter and me for our recent trip to Italy. The option was an ideal blend of booking an escorted tour while allowing us time to explore on our own. We had the security of Gate 1 behind us when flights and hotels were changed - we didn't have to worry about rescheduling. We had the opportunity to join Gate 1 (and other) tours in each city we visited - the excursion to Pompeii was our favorite. We had the freedom to explore each city on our own - we especially loved taking the "boat-bus" in Venice and riding the Metro subway in Rome. "This was my 94th country to visit. Daniel was THEE best tour director EVER. He did so so many extra things to make our trip exceptional. Taking meals orders in advance, is something every tour director should do, it saves alot of time. This tour has alot of logistics and Daniel was on top of all of them. Its alot for a tour manager to do....no one could have exceeded his superb service. The trip itself was an exceptional value due to all it included. The meals in the on Isabella Island, were beyond five star. Everything about the lodge was over the top. I have already highly highly recommended this trip.Please allow me to serve as a referance to anyone considering this trip. BUT..... as a company .........you may not realize just how truly great Daniel is for his customers. Please know that all 13 of us, loved loved loved, all he did for us."

"Reasons for considering Ali, the best Tour Manager I have been working with during all my 25 previous trips with Gate 1 from 2004 to 2022 He is highly knowledgeable about Jordan's economic, political, and social history, including confrontations, warfare, and battles before and after Christ. He is an empathetic inspirational speaker able to maintain the travelers' attention. He is always ready to go the extra mile in helping travelers experiencing physical limitations, encouraging them to go up a hill in a desert, and helping them if it were necessary. I am an 81-year-old man. He helped me go to the Dead Sea, Petra, Wadi Rum Desert, Jerash, and Amman's museums, the Citadel, the amphitheaters with their echoes, and so on. His human relations are outstanding. In my personal case, I had the impression that he was part of my family. He made the activity so interesting that there was not a single moment of boredom. I worked as a professor for 54 years in Cuba, Mexico, and the United States. I have taught more than 10,000 students. He was so good that I learned from him how to keep listeners interested in the topics he was talking about. He also added knowledge about the Jordan government, emphasized important religious places, and created a place to remember in a holistic way. Consequently, he is the best tour manager I have ever met. Congratulations to Ali. In this recommendation I would also like to add Mr. Waj Di, the driver, who also did noteworthy work as an expert chauffeur, always keeping the travelers safe."

"Edgardo far exceeded our expectations throughout our visit to Costa Rica. His depth of knowledge of Costa Rican culture, economy, history, plants and animals was incredible. His ability to connect with each traveler and create a safe and inviting atmosphere was above and beyond. Edgar has a true passion for sharing his beautiful country with visitors. He was timely and diligent in helping the group stay on track and have the most enjoyable experience possible. He truly went above and beyond in all capacities. Luis, our bus driver, prioritized our safety and comfortability in all capacities. The bus was kept absolutely spotless and his driving was impeccable, along with being a very kind person. Both Luis and Edgar prioritized our safety and health through their diligence in upholding Covid-19 precautions. I cannot thank them enough for their contribution to this amazing experiencing. "Just submitted our post trip survey and wanted to add a few comments on our Tour Manager Serdar. In a word he was outstanding. Perhaps the best tour manager we have ever experienced and we have had some very good ones. He had just the right touch in every situation, expertly worked though conflicts and solved problems expeditiously and creatively. We lost our passports during the trip and he went to great lengths to help us work through this problem. He could not have been more helpful. He also has a wonderful knowledge of history and can express it concisely and in terms we can relate to. And he has a wonderful, warm and likable personality with a great sense of humor. In short he was an outstanding Tour Manager. We could not have asked for better. Great job again Gate One!"

"I know you're swamped with travel challenges, but I just want to share my excellent experience in Kenya and Tanzania and thank you for another great Gate 1 trip! We've had many incredible tour managers with Gate 1 and Wolfugan Mrosso in Tanzania has now taken top spot. He was attentive to our every need, but so much more. He was a wealth of information which he shared in such interesting ways, providing us with great insight into the country, the culture, and the amazing wildlife. He didn't always just answer a question, he sometimes encouraged us to think by asking a question back and truly engaging us in learning. We are avid birders, so we asked him to point out birds along the way that he might not otherwise. His knowledge of all the local birds was beyond my imagination and his ability to spot an interesting bird while driving a game vehicle blew us away. The other two people in our game drive vehicle soon became birders too! His knowledge of the wildlife was superb as expected and his ability to maneuver the vehicle into just the right spot for viewing and even considered the lighting for great photographs allowed me to get the most amazing photographs and memories for a life time. Wolfugan truly went the extra mile to ensure we were having the best experience on drives, in our lodging, and at our meals. He made us comfortable with all of the Covid requirements being managed. He was friendly, personable, obviously very intelligent, and a delight to be around. I've been back home for a week, but my heart is still in Africa. Thank you Gate 1 for another amazing adventure!"

"We recently got back from the Sri Lanka trip and I wanted to say it was an excellent trip. We loved the variety of sites and activities. The pace was very good and every day there was a new interesting discovery. The tour director Shaem was excellent. He kept things very interesting and moving at the right pace. "My brother and I like to take brothers trips from time to time. We have used Gate1 several times, and booked a trip to Vietnam for April 2020. As the world closed down, our trip was cancelled. After waiting a couple of years, we decided to change our plans and travel to Italy instead. Gate 1 was very accommodating and helped us with this change. As always, communications were clear and helpful. This was the first time we have taken an independent tour, but everything was perfect. The hotels were clean and located in great spots (especially in Florence and Venice). So what is it like to travel to a foreign country at the tail end of a pandemic? In one word: heavenly! Low crowds, almost no long lines, and very appreciative shop owners and tour operators. I know it will not last forever, but while it does, book your trip! Can not wait to book another one!!!"

"There are no words in the English language that can sum up the experience that I had in Dubai ,UAE. From the moment that I landed in Dubai it was a trip of a lifetime. From the hotel to the tours it was amazing. The Tour guide Hend. She is by far the most knowledgeable, professional, and friendly tour guide that I ever had in my 10 years of travelling abroad. The things that I learn from her was informative and very much appreciative. As an American we/I get a lot of all information from TV which I now now can be bias to one's culture and religion. Hend professionally and educationally provided me to an insight to the Islamic culture that I had no knowledge of. Hend is incredible and anyone that has the fortunate of getting on her tour...you are so lucky.. Gate 1 provided top-notch travel, hotel, tours and service!! "I went on the 13 day Ecuador/Galapagos trip from 11/16/21-11/28/21. Our tour guide, Daniel (Solis?) was fabulous! He was so knowledgeable about the culture, history and customs of every place we visited. He was enthusiastic, had a great sense of humor and really went over and above anything I expected. The trip itself was great, and Daniel made it so enjoyable. The local guides, Pedro in Galapagos and Joel in Coca, were also excellent. I would definitely recommend this trip to others. "Understandably it can be stressful traveling during a pandemic. However we feel great loyalty to Gate One and hoped that every reservation held supports this great company to continue in these unprecedented times. Amr made us feel so comfortable and welcomed to his country. His upbeat personality allowed us to be joyful and relaxed and we returned home renewed and excited. Amr was concerned for the whole group's happiness and harmony and we became a family that week. In fact, we felt like he was extended family that we went to visit. Amr's knowledge of Egypt was outstanding and so interesting. We were encouraged to fully immerse ourselves in the experience and we certainly did! He had great tips at every location to maximize our time and be the most safe during the pandemic. We especially enjoyed the valley of the kings and Abu Simbel where we explored independently with his guidance."
